25 Point Lunch Club

Today was our 25 Point Lunch Club party (AR points).  We had a great time.  

We made sandwiches, ate chips, sang and danced.

Then we had cake!  Yum!

This lettuce is from our garden that we grew ourselves!

Everyone thought is was yummy!

Life Cycle of the meal worm

Meal Worm Research:   ASK PARENTS BEFORE YOU GET ON THE INTERNET!!

See if you can find information about the life cycle of the meal worm.  How many stages are there?  How long is each stage?  What do they eat?  What do they look like at each stage?  What other interesting facts can you find out?  Write or draw something to share the information you discovered.

I want to thank all the parents (and students) for the beautiful flowers, wonderful notes and all the goodies I received this week for Teacher Appreciation Week.  I am so lucky to have all of these wonderful children in my class this year.  I have enjoyed teaching them all!  Thank you so much!

PLANTING is FUN!!!

Today was the big day.  We planted our seedlings in our garden!  I hope they grow.

We also found some worms (which was exciting to say the least).

Santa Barbara Natural History Museum

I would like to thank all the parents who came with us on our trip to the museum.

Chumash Presentation

We had a wonderful docent from the Museum of Ventura County come to our class today to 

talk to us about the Chumash.

She showed us some wonderful items and the students really enjoyed showing off their 

knowledge of the Chumash.

THANK YOU TO BEN'S UNCLE!

Ben's uncle has graciously donated his time and muscle to get our class garden going.  During the break he came and took out the grass and weeds and then tilled the dirt.  We planted seeds in some starter boxes today, so hopefully we will have a wonderful garden full of vegetables before we leave for the summer!

My Favorite Place by Daniel Melgoza

 My most favorite place ever is home.  Home is my favorite place because I get to spend time with my family every day. I also love home because I get to watch tv when ever I want and where I want.  My most favorite thing to do is at home is watch a movie as a family and I think that brings us closer together.  That is why home is my favorite place.
